Yoga Shanti Om


Inspired by Iyengar, through 40 years of exploration by Vanda Scaravelli. Based on the principles of anchoring and surrender, letting go of the inclination to muscle ourselves into the poses. These principles can be applied in any types of yoga, to give beauty and freedom to the poses as they enter a place of more fullness, where they may release deeply held tensions and injuries.


Parijata E. Charbonneau has been exploring Yoga and Meditation for over 30 years. Living extensively in India over a seven year period where she studied Advaita Vedenta with Shri H.W.L. Poonja, Tantric Yoga, body work and Indian music. Parijata received teacher training with Esther Myers in Toronto, and has studied with, among others, David Swenson, Angela Farmer and has been part of the mentoring program withHart Lazer in 2007. In 2014 she became certified to teach gyrotonic method.
